Provides general guidance for professionals involved in private or public sector procurement for the letting of construction contracts in the UK. The note takes into account key public sector tendering developments since The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 came into force and provides best practice updates for both public and private sectors. Main topics include preliminary enquiry, invitation to tender, tender, assessment and award. In addition, to document addresses key areas within the new regulations and their impact on public sector tendering. Model forms covering private sector procurement pre-selection and tender stages are also included and can be used with any JCT main contract and adapted for sub-contract and framework tendering.
