A professional photographer will capture students receiving their pin and diploma cover on stage and have an individual photo taken. Please visit this link to pre-register your information to ensure you receive proofs 14-21 business days post ceremony.

When will I receive detailed information on my ceremony?

Students received an email to their student account on May 6 that included graduate and guest information. They are also located on this page.

How do I secure my guest tickets for the May 2024 ceremony?

Each student will be able to invite ten family and friends to celebrate their achievement.
Tickets are NOT required for admission. Please do not invite more than this number so we can adhere to venue capacity.
The ceremony will not be live-streamed.

What are the requirements for Latin Honors?

3.6 – 3.74 Cum Laude
3.75 – 3.89 Magna Cum Laude
3.9 – 4.0 Summa Cum Laude

Undergraduate students who complete 59 or fewer credits at CSP and meet the following GPA requirements will earn honors:

3.75 – 3.89 with Distinction
3.9 – 4.0 with High Distinction

The honors earned, if any, at the time your degree is awarded will be printed on your transcript and diploma. If your degree is awarded after the commencement ceremony and your estimated honors changed, you may request to exchange your medallion or pin by contacting the Registrar’s Office at 651-641-8233 or [email protected] .

Will my degree be awarded if I don’t participate in a ceremony and how will I receive my diploma?

Yes. The Registrar’s Office will review student records for degree awarding after final grades are posted to the student record (one week after the end of the term). This process can take 2-3 weeks. The university prints diplomas monthly and sends a congratulatory email once that process is completed. An official transcript can be used as proof of degree. We highly encourage you to check your unofficial transcript prior to requesting the official. Diplomas will be mailed to the permanent address on your student record.

When will the summer & fall 2024 commencement ceremony take place?

The summer ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 11 at 4:00 p.m. PST. The fall ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 15 at 4:00 p.m. PST. Both ceremonies will take place at the Holiday Inn Portland-Columbia Riverfront.
